Replacing them has become more important now given our goal of "normalizing" history items (GitHub #779).
AntWiki is good for identifying the correct reference (go to the page for the current_valid_taxon first, since AW does not have records for all obsolete combinations).
Fixing these is quite fun, actually. If you enjoy solving Sudoko, I'd recommend giving this a shot.
