| Type notes | Brown & Kempf (1969), in their Acanthognathus revision, indicate they examined only a few workers of the type series from MCZC and USNM. However, they inform syntypes at MCZC, USNM and WWK. The WWK Collection is at MZSP, and the MZSP Ant Collection has no types of A. lentus. They probably agreed to send A. lentus syntypes to WWK, but such donation may never have been finalized. |
