Etymology The Latin name “inermis” is composed of “in-" + “arma” + “-is”, which means toothless, and in this new species refers to the very short spines on the propodeum.
Primary type information Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: China: Yunnan Province, Lijiang City, Yongsheng County, 26°54'04''N, 100°34'29''E, 2800 m, in deadwood, 5.xii.2022 (Jincai Gu). Primary type depository: KIZ. Primary type specimen: KIZ0132782.
