Etymology |
From the Vietnamese ‟rồng”, meaning “dragon”. The Vietnamese conception of a dragon is tubular and sinuous, with short legs, and often golden coloration. This habitus recalls the Leptanillinae, and particularly the deep yellow color of Protanilla rong. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition, and therefore invariant. |
