Primary type locality: Brazil: Mato Grosso (now Rondônia), Madeira-Mamoré Railroad Company Camps 39 and 41 (284 km. and 306 km. from Porto Velho), 1911, (Stanford Expd.) (W.M. Mann). Primary type depositories: LACM, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: Shattuck, 1994: 17, cites 12 worker syntypes (3 in LACM, 6 in MCZC, 3 in USNM).
