Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype queen. Primary type locality: Malaysia: Sabah, Poring Hot Springs, 22.i.1989, no. 815 (U. Maschwitz). Primary type depository: BMNH. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 15 paratype workers, 4 paratype queens, 3 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: BMNH, DAPC, FRKL, MCZC, MHNG.
