Primary type locality: U.S.A.: New Mexico, Otero County (Chihuahuan Desert), White Sands National Monument (no collector’s name; Mackay?). Primary type depository: USNM. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 60 paratype workers, 5 paratype queens, 41 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: AMNH, BMNH, LACM, MCZC, NMNH, TAMU, USNM, MZSP. Type notes: As well as the Otero County “Type Series”, MacKay & MacKay, 1994: 40, present other localities in New Mexico, Bernalillo County, apparently not included as paratypes.
