Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Japan: Kanagawa Pref., Manazuru, 24.vii.1968 (M. Kubota). Primary type depository: unknown (perhaps KUPC). Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 47 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: same data as holotype or dated 2.vi.1968. Secondary type depositories: BMNH, KUPC, NHMB. Type notes: 1) Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 72, cites 16 worker paratypes in NHMB. 2) Baroni Urbani, 1977c: 462, says that the holotype + 29 paratypes were returned to Kubota (KUPC) for deposition in Japanese institutions.
