Primary type information: Primary type material: 5 syntype workers. Primary type locality: New Caledonia: (no further data) (E. Léveillé). Primary type depository: MSNG. Type notes: 1) Shattuck, 1994: 119, cites 1 worker syntype in USNM, “without locality data”. 2) Lucky & Ward, 2010: 44, cite 2 worker syntypes but name Gambey as collector, whereas Emery, 1883 (in introduction, p. 145) implies that the collector is E. Léveillé.
