Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype queen. Primary type locality: Canada: Alberta, Jasper Nat. Park, a few metres above the road from 93A to Mt Edith Cavill parking lot, ca 1500 m., 19.viii.1979, rotten stick (A. Buschinger). Primary type depository: not stated (perhaps ABPC or NHMW). Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 6 paratype queens, 2 paratype workers, 60 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depository: not stated (perhaps ABPC or NHMW). Type notes: Numbers of specimens are those given by Buschinger after several breeding seasons from the originally collected colony.
