Primary type information: Primary type material: 2 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Indonesia (“New Guinea): Irian Jaya, Dory, “59.58” (A.R. Wallace). Primary type depository: BMNH. Primary type specimen: BMNH(ENT) 1014937. Type notes: 1) Donisthorpe, 1932c: 463, incorrectly states that this “insect is not in the Oxford Collection nor at the B.M.”. 2) In fact two worker syntypes are present in BMNH, labelled “59.58 Dory, New Guinea.” (Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978, Rigato & Bolton, 2001: 254).
