Primary type information: Primary type material: 15 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Congo (“French Congo”): Fort Crampel, xi.1910, 6.i.1911 (Schubotz). Primary type depository: unknown (not in MNHU, presumed lost (Bolton, 1982: 353)). Type notes: 1) Stitz, 1916: 371, gives depository as Zoological Museum Hamburg, which was destroyed in World War II. 2) Residual type material perhaps in ZMUH.
