Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Indonesia: Sumatra, Si Rambé (E. Modigliani). Primary type depository: MSNG. Type notes: Emery, 1900 also mentions a queen (p. 679) from “Borneo, Pulo Laut” (= Indonesia: Kalimantan, Laut I.) as perhaps also referable to this species. He does not obviously include it as type material, and it is excluded here.
