Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: California, Los Angeles County, San Gabriel River, 500 ft, Irwindale, 22.ii.1963 (R.H. Crandall & R.R. Snelling). Primary type depository: LACM. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 56 paratype workers, 12 paratype queens, 82 paratype males. Secondary type locality: 29 paratype workers, 12 paratype queens, 74 paratype males with same data as holotype, 27 paratype workers, 8 paratype males with same data as holotype but 24.ii.1963 (R.R. Snelling). Secondary type depositories: AMNH, DRIR, LACM, MCZC, MHNG, USNM.
