Primary type information: Primary type material: 9 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Kenya (“Afrique orientale anglaise”): Likoni, coastal region, st. no. 4, xi.1911 (Ch. Alluaud & R. Jeannel). Primary type depository: NHMB. Primary type specimen: CASENT0913042. Type notes: Santschi, 1914b: 116, and Santschi, 1925c: 166, mention several other localities in Kenya and Tanzania, but the Likoni specimens were originally specified as “(types)”.
