Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype queen. Primary type locality: Papua New Guinea: New Ireland I., Port Praslin, 1822-25 (no collector’s name) (Voyage La Coquille). Primary type depository: probably MNHN. Type notes: 1) A male specimen may also be present as Guérin-Méneville, 1838: 206, adds “We have only seen one male individual”. 2) According to Horn & Kahle, 1935: 99, Guérin’s Hymenoptera material was split between MNHN, MSNG, and ZSBS, but some are also present in NNML.
