Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers, syntype queens (numbers not stated, “several colonies”). Primary type locality: Cuba: Trinidad Mts, Mina Carlota, xi.1917, 25.xii.1917 (W.M. Mann). Primary type depositories: ACHC, BMNH, MCZC, MSNG, NHMB, USNM, MZSP. Type notes: 1) Baroni Urbani, 1978b: 512, cites 126 worker, 2 queen syntypes (3w ACHC, 6w BMNH, 6w MCZC, 2w MSNG, 6w NHMB, 103w, 2q USNM). 2) Baroni Urbani, 1978b also points out that various syntypes are labelled nigrinodis, nigronodis, rugeinodis (all nomina nuda), as well as atrinodis, and some are labelled squamifera.
