Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype soldier (by designation of Kempf, 1958a: 129). Primary type locality: lectotype U.S.A.: Arizona, Santa Catalina Mts, Buehman Canyon (nr Redington), 3300 ft (M. Chrisman) (received from Rohwer). Primary type depository: USNM. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: paralectotype soldiers, paralectotype workers (numbers not stated). Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depositories: MCZC, MZSP, USNM. Type notes: 1) Original description cites 2 soldier, 2 worker syntypes in MCZC. 2) Wheeler, 1916i adds that other syntypes with the same data were present in USNM, later cited as 5 soldiers, 7 workers by Smith, 1947a: 36.
