Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated. Primary type locality: “Nordamerika”: (no further data). Primary type depository: possibly EMAU (according to MacKay, 1993b: 99, but material not seen by him). Type notes: 1) Wheeler, 1905g: 310, records “Types from Louisiana”, but there is no evidence that this is correct. 2) Mayr, 1866a says material is “im zoologischen Museum in Halle” (MLUH); perhaps also NHMW.
