Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype queen(s), syntype male(s) (numbers not stated). Primary type localities: France: Aveyron, Saint Affrique (E. Rabaud) (invalid restriction of type locality by Wilson, 1955a: 183; no lectotype designated), France: Pyrénées Orientales, col de Banyuls (J. Bondroit). Primary type depository: ISNB. Type notes: 1) Wilson, 1955a: 185, says that a lectotype has been selected, but provides no further data. 2) Other original syntype locality: France: Pyrénées Orientales, col de Banyuls (J. Bondroit). 3) Bondroit, 1918: 34, says “I believe that the Lasius microgyna is the same species as the “bicornis” from Naples cited by Emery”.
