Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 2 paratype queens. Secondary type locality: Brazil: Paraná, Rolândia, 5.iv.1953 (W.W. Kempf). Secondary type depository: MZSP. Type notes: The MZSP Ant Collection has the type specimens of three of the four species described by Borgmeier in his publication of 1959—Heteroponera angulata, Pheidole sensitiva, and Proceratium brasiliense. However, the types of Labauchena hostilis could not be located in the collection.
