Type notes: 1) Shattuck, 1994: 152, cites 31 worker syntypes. 2) There is a specimen in MNHU labeled "type" with a handwritten label that matches the date and number on the label of CASENT0909809, but records the country incorrectly and lacks the specific locality: "S. Afrika (Kalahari). Jan. 1905. 1065. Schulze". This was taken from a dehydrated ethanol collection ("eingetr. alkmat. präp. ab 1976"). 48 additional workers with the same data reproduced on typewritten labels are also present. Note: these are not the same material as FOCOL2859-1.
