Cyphomyrmex occultus Kempf, 1964d: 41, figs. 37-39 (q.m.) BRAZIL (Santa Catarina, São Paulo). Neotropic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype queen. Primary type locality: Brazil: Santa Catarina, Nova Teutônia, v. 1960, no.3918 (F. Plaumann). Primary type depository: MZSP. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 10 paratype queens, 14 paratype males. Secondary type localities: 4 paratype queens, 8 paratype males with same data as holotype, 6 paratype queens, 6 paratype males Brazil: São Paulo, Barueri, 17.x.1958 and 14.xi.1958, nos 662, 698 (K. Lenko). Secondary type depository: MZSP. Type notes: Kempf, 1964d: 43, adds “more specimens of the same series in DZSP”.
