Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype worker (by designation of Agosti, 1990b: 1490 (date of publication 19.x.1990)). Primary type locality: Spain: “Habitat in Hispaniae Dom. Vahl.” (no further data). Primary type depository: ZMUC. Type notes: 1) A lectotype was separately also designated by Tinaut, 1990c: 50 (date of publication (31).xii.1990). 2) Agosti, 1990b: 1491, points out that Vohl material was often mislabelled and the type locality “could easily have been North Africa”. 3) Zimsen, 1964: 425, cites 3 worker syntypes (1 worker in ZMUC, 2 workers in ZMUK).
