Type notes: 1) Donisthorpe, 1932c: 473, cites 1 worker in OXUM; confirmed by Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978. 2) Type locality is Africa (Wilson, 1964a: 443). 3) Perhaps Smith, 1865a's original New Guinea is a mislabel for Guinea (Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978).
