Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated), 1 syntype queen. Primary type locality: Egypt: Ghezireh, 23.viii.1923 (A. Alfieri). Primary type depository: NHMB. Primary type specimen: CASENT0912422. Type notes: Kirschner et al., 2023: 1168, say the type locality is most probably Geziret el-Hagar (30.558°N, 30.838°E, 14 m) in Egypt.
