Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Madagascar: Imerina, Forêt d’Andrangoloaka (F. Sikora). Primary type depository: MHNG. Primary type specimen: CASENT0101834 (redundant lectotype designated by Rakotonirina & Fisher, 2014: 400). Type notes: 1) Lectotype designation by Rakotonirina & Fisher, 2014: 40 is redundant because at the end of the original description Forel, 1892l expressly states “one worker” (automatically holotype). 2) Rakotonirina & Fisher, 2014 also nominate 2 paralectotype workers from Moramanga; they are not from the original type-series and have no type status.
