Primary type information: Primary type material: 6 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Papua New Guinea: junction of Bulolo and Watut Creeks, Biolowat, 2000-3000 ft (H. Stevens). Primary type depositories: MCZC, MVMA. Type notes: Shattuck, 1994: 118, cites 6 worker syntypes (5 MCZC, 1 MVMA).
