Type notes: 1) The name Temnothorax arimensis was first published by Azuma, 1953: 3, 13 syntype workers, Japan: Arima, nr Kobi (apparently dated 3.vii.1949) (M. Azuma). 2) Onoyama, 1980a: 194, pointed out that the publication in which the description appeared was a school magazine (called “Warera”), not an official publication.
