Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated, “numerous”). Primary type locality: Indonesia: Amboina (= Ambon I.), 19.ii.1913, no. 2496 (W. Karawajew). Primary type depository: QMBA, SIZK. Type notes: Karavaiev, 1927f also mentions worker, queen and male specimens with the same data but nos 2479, 2490, 2497; it is not certain if these should also be regarded as syntypes.
