Primary type locality: New Zealand: South I., west coast, Peel Forest, “P.F. 3/74” and Kelly’s Creek, “K.C.” (C.M. Wakefield). Primary type depository: BMNH. Type notes: 1) Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978, cites 2 worker, 1 queen, 1 male syntypes in BMNH. 2) Each worker syntype also has a small rectangular label with “N. Zealand” on the upper side and “76/20” on the underside. The queen and male have no specific locality information (Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978).
