Primary type locality: Sudan: “Afrika, vom weissen fluss” (= White Nile), “in den Saaman von Sorghum Durra” (no collector’s name) (received from Gredler). Primary type depository: MNHU. Type notes: 1) No indication of number of specimens is given. 2) Mayr, 1863a: 450, merely says “Afrika”; Emery, 1911e: 84, has “Sudan”; Wheeler, 1922: 777, has “Anglo-Egyptian Sudan: Sennar”.
