Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype minor worker. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: North Carolina, Faisons (A. Forel). Primary type depository: unknown (perhaps MHNG). Type notes: Smith, 1955c: 99, says the holotype is in MHNG (where it was examined for him by Charles Ferriere) but Wilson, 2003a: 779, states it is not in MHNG and is apparently lost.
