Primary type information: Type-material: syntype workers (number not stated). Type-locality: “Nordamerika”: (no further data). Type-depositories: MSNG, NNML. Type notes: 1) Wheeler, 1903d: 240, gives type-locality as, “?District of Columbia”. 2) Mackay, 2000: 338, says specimens could not be located in Roger’s collection in MNHU, but in the original description Mayr comments that they are “im zoologischen Museum in Leyden”.
