Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: China: Tsinghua (N.G. Gee). Primary type depository: MCZC. Type notes: Radchenko, 2004: 128, points out that Wheeler, 1927e cited only one specimen (from Tsinghua); thus a “lectotype” in MCZC, labelled by A. Schulz, 1997, is incorrect and carries the wrong data (namely “Peking (P.H. Lefivre)”. There is also no evidence that this “lectotype” designation was ever published.
