Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Australia: Queensland, 2 km. W Cape Tribulation (site 4), 16°05’S, 145°28’E, 200 m., 21.iv.1983, berlesate 528, rainforest (G.B. Monteith & D.K. Yeates). Type-depository: ANIC. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 7 paratype workers, 2 paratype ergatoid queens. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depositories: ANIC, BMNH, MCZC.
