Primary type information: Primary type material: 1 syntype major worker, 1 syntype minor worker. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: California, Point Loma nr San Diego, Raja Yogi Institute (P. Leonard). Primary type depository: unknown. Type notes: 1) Creighton, 1950a: 401, says the types are “apparently lost or misplaced”. 2) Creighton & Snelling, 1967: 187, explain that the types were lost in 1938 when part of W.M. Wheeler’s collection was being transferred from MCZC to AMNH.
