Type notes: 1) Lectotype designation by Mackay & MacKay, 1997b: 332, is redundant as the specimen they cite is derived from Forel, 1895a: 44 (in text), from Guatemala, not from the original type-series from Mexico. 2) Forel, 1879a: 82, cites a Norton syntype in NHMW.
