Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype major worker. Primary type locality: holotype Solomon Is: Santa Cruz I., Graciosa Bay, Santa Anna, 19.v.-24.xi.1916 (W.M. Mann). Primary type depository: USNM (perhaps also MCZC). Type notes: Mann, 1919 describes only a single major worker, but the series probably contains numerous majors and minors as he says: “A very abundant ant.”
