Primary type information: Primary type material: 3 syntype males. Primary type locality: France: edge of Dordogne, Lot, Pinsac, ix.1951 (G. Lepointe). Primary type depository: MNHN. Primary type specimen: CASENT0915399. Type notes: 1) The three syntypes are ergatoid males, not queens (Baroni Urbani, 1973a: 200). 2) Seifert, 2023b: 28, cites 5 worker, 5 queen, 3 male ergatoid syntypes.

Status as species: Bernard, 1967a: 158 (redescription); Kutter, 1968c: 203.
