Cardiocondyla montandoni Santschi, 1912g: 657, figs. 1, 3 (w.) ROMANIA. Palearctic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: 2 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Romania: Lacu-Sarat, nr Braïla (A.L. Montandon). Primary type depository: MHNG, NHMB. Type notes: Seifert, 2023b: 48, cites 5 worker syntypes (3 in MHNG, 2 in NHMB), but in the original description Santschi, 1912g says “two workers”.

Status as species: Emery, 1922c: 126; Bernard, 1956c: 302 (in key).
