Cataulacus taprobanae var. resinosa Viehmeyer, 1913: 145 (w.) INDONESIA (Sulawesi) (in copal). Indomalaya.

Primary type information: Primary type material: 2 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Indonesia: Sulawesi (“Celebes”), in copal (no collector’s name). Primary type depository: MNHU (second specimen perhaps in SMTD). Type notes: During the study Viehmeyer received ants in copal from P. Weidinger, R. Weise, and the company Staudinger & Bang-Haas.
