Primary type locality: lectotype Myanmar (“Burma”): Tenasserim, Mt Mooleyit, 1000-1900 m., iv.1887 (L. Fea). Primary type depository: MSNG. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: paralectotype workers (number not stated). Secondary type localities: with same data as lectotype, Tenasserim, Kawkareet, 1885-87 (L. Fea), Tenasserim, Plapoo, 1885-87 (L. Fea), Tenasserim, Mts between rivers Meekalan and Kyeat, 1885-87 (L. Fea). Secondary type depositories: MCZC, MHNG, MSNG. Type notes: 1) Shattuck, 1994: 51, cites 5 worker syntypes (2 MCZC, 3 MHNG). 2) Both Shattuck, 1994: 51, and Dill, 2002: 42, cite 1 worker as syntype and paralectotype, respectively, from Carin, Asciuii Cheba (L. Fea) (MCZC); this locality is not mentioned in the original description.
