Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers, 1 syntype ergatoid queen, syntype males (numbers of workers and males not stated, “masses of workers, accompanied by males”). Primary type locality: Solomon Is: Three Sisters Is, Malapaina I., 19.v.-24.xi.1916 (W.M. Mann). Primary type depositories: MCZC, USNM. Type notes: Baroni Urbani, 1973b: 141, cites 3 worker ‘syntypes’ in NHMB; these specimens are from Wai-ai and are not type material.
