Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype (?) worker. Primary type locality: Mexico (?): (no further data) (T. Pergande). Primary type depository: MHNG. Type notes: 1) No indication of number of specimens is given. 2) Creighton, 1950a: 125, says the type locality is “uncertain, probably Lower California”, (= Mexico, Baja California). 3) Cole, 1968: 77, agrees that the type locality is unknown, but is most probably Baja California. 4) Other specimens from the type-series may remain in the Pergande collection, in USNM.
