Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Japan: Ryukyu Is, Okinawa-hontou Is (= Okinawa-jima), Chibana, 19.iii.1983 (T. Mizukami). Primary type depository: KUEC. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 5 paratype workers, 2 paratype queens. Secondary type localities: 4 paratype workers with same data as holotype, 1 paratype worker, 1 paratype queen Okinawa-hontou Is, Nakasone, 20.xi.1975 (T. Abe), 1 paratype queen Okinawa-hontou Is, Nakijin-joushi, 7.iii.1984 (K. Onoyama). Secondary type depository: KUEC.
