Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated). Primary type locality: Algeria: Algiers (no collector’s name). Primary type depository: unknown. Type notes: 1) According to Horn & Kahle, 1935: 78, Foerster’s formicid types are in MNHU, but Seifert & Schultz, 2009b: 271, state that “According to our own search in German collections type material of Förster is completely destroyed”. 2) However, perhaps specimens remain in MNHN as Foerster, 1850b (p. 486) thanks “Leon Fairmaire in Paris” for the specimens.
