Type notes: 1) Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 73, cites 5 worker syntypes in NHMB. 2) MacKay, 1993b: 56, also includes 3 paralectotype queens, but this caste was not mentioned in the original description. 3) Shattuck, 1994: 52, cites 8 worker, 3 queen syntypes (3w MCZC, 5w, 3q MHNG).
