Pheidole fimbriata Roger, 1863a: 196 (s.) RIO PARAGUAY. Neotropic.
Primary type information: Primary type material: 2 syntype major workers. Primary type locality: “Rio Paraguay” (no further data). Primary type depository: MNHN (or perhaps MNHU). Type notes: 1) Roger, 1863a says the specimens are, “im Pariser Museum”, but Wilson, 2003a: 690, says they were not found. 2) The Paraguay River runs through Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
