Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype major worker (by designation of Longino, 2019: 40). Primary type locality: lectotype Mexico: Veracruz, Córdoba (Salle). Primary type depository: BMNH (lectotype) (other original syntypes perhaps in MHNG). Primary type specimen: CASENT0901556. Type notes: 1) Other original syntype locality: Mexico: Guerrero, Xucumanatlán (H.H. Smith) (invalid restriction of type locality by Kempf, 1972b: 195; no lectotype designated). 2) Longino, 2019: 40, states that this Xucumantlán minor worker specimen is not conspecific with the lectotype. 3) This taxon is omitted from Wilson, 2003a.
